CRACKMARSH, or Crakemarsh, a constablewick in Uttoxeter parish, Stafford; on the river Dove, 2 miles N of Uttoxeter. It belonged, before the Conquest, to Earl Algar; and passed to the Ferrerses, the Verdons, the Berghershes, and others.
