Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for CAYNE (The)

CAYNE (The), a stream of Merioneth; running 7 miles south-south-westward to the Maw, 4 miles N of Dolgelly. A fall of nearly 200 feet occurs on it, called the Pistyll-y-Cayne, over a mural precipice.
