BIGGIN, a township in Kirk-Fenton parish, W. R. Yorkshire; near the North Midland railway, 6½ miles WNW of Selby. Acres, together with Little Fenton, 2,250. Pop., 142. Houses, 28. Teasel, for the use of fullers, was first cultivated here.
