BEETHA, or Belo (The), a stream of Westmoreland. It issues from Lily Farm, 5 miles E of Kendal; and runs 14 miles south-westward, past Bridgend, End-Moor, and Beetham, to the river Kent, ¾ of a mile W of Milnthorpe. It makes a fall at Beetha mill.
