WHALEY-CUM-YEARDSLEY, a township in Taxall parish, Cheshire; around Whaley-Bridge. Acres, 1,320. Real property, £3,952; of which £1,100 are in mines, £60 in quarries, and £20 in fisheries. Pop. in 1851, 693; in 1861, 1,052. Houses, 212. Yeardsley Hall was formerly the seat of the Jodrells, and is now a farmhouse. There is a Baptist chapel.
