STREATLEY, a village and a parish in Bradfield district, Berks. The village stands on the river Thames, at a convergence of Roman roads, ½ mile W of Goring r. station, and 6 S of Wallingford; has been identified, by some writers, with the ancient Calleva; is a picturesque place, much frequented by artists; and has a post-office under Reading.
