SHREWSBURY AND HEREFORD RAILWAY, a railway in Salop and Herefordshire; from Shrewsbury southward, past Church-Stretton, Ludlow, and Leominster, into junction with the Newport, Abergavenny, and Hereford line at Hereford. It is 51 miles 1ong; was authorized in 1846; and was leased in 1862 to jointly the Northwestern and the Great Western.
