SEVERN VALLEY railway, a railway in Worcester and Salop; from a junction with the Oxford, Worcester, and Wolverhampton line at Hartlebury, up the Valley of the Severn to Shrewsbury, with branches in Kidderminster parish, and to Madeley, Coldbrookdale, and neighbouring places. The main line and the north-ward branches were authorized in 1853; and a short linein Kidderminster, in 1861. The railway was leased in 1860, for 999 years, to the West Midland.
