SALTHOUSE, a parish in Erpingham district, Norfolk; on the coast, 3 miles N by W of Holt, and 10 E N E of Walsingham r. station. Post-town, Holt, under The t-ford. Acres, 1, 614; of which 55 are water. Real property, £2, 278. Pop., 268. Houses, 63. The property is divided among a few. About 500 acres are marsh land, formerly inundated. The living is a rectory, annexed to Kelling, in the diocese of Norwich. The church is later English, and has a lofty tower.
