RENISHAW, a township in Eckington parish, Derby; on the river Rother, the Chesterfield canal, and the Mid-land railway, at Eckington r. station, 6½ miles N E by N of Chesterfield. It has a post-office under Chesterfield. Real property, £6,013; of which £2, 976 are in mines. Pop., 721. R. Hall is the seat of Sir G. R. Sitwell, Bart. There are a large iron foundry and a slightly endowed school.
