PORT-DINORWIG, a sea-port village in Llanfairis-Gaer parish, Carnarvon; on Menai strait, adjacent to the Bangor and Carnarvon railway, and at the terminus of a railway from the Llanberis slate quarries, 3½ miles N N E of Carnarvon. It has a station on the B. andrailway, and a post-office‡ under Bangor; it serves for the embarkation of the slates from Llanberis; and it has a small harbour, with safe anchorage for about 120vessels of 200 tons burden.
