PONT-CYSYLLTAN, an aqueduct of the Ellesmerecanal over the river Dee, in the S of Denbigh; 4 miles E of Llangollen. It was constructed by Telford in 1795-1805, at a cost of £47,018; it has 19 arches; and it is1,007 feet long, 12 feet broad, and 126 feet high. A railway viaduct of 9 arches, and 1, 531 feet long, isnear it.
