Castle stands on an eminence; belonged to successively the Turbervilles, the Stradlings, and the Mansels; is now the seat of J. Homfray, Esq.; and retains some Norman features. The living is a p. curacy, annexed to the vicarage of Llanfrinach, in the diocese of Llandaff. The church is old.
