PENGERSWICK, a hamlet in the S W of Cornwall; near Sydney cove, 3 miles W of Helston. A castle stoodhere in the time of Edward VI.; belonged then to Gov. Milliton; passed to the Hals, the Godolphins, and others; and has left two towers and some other remains.
