ODIN MINE, a mine in Castleton parish, Derby; under Mam-Tor, 2½ miles W N W of Castleton. It was known to the Saxons; is still worked by levels; produces lead, yielding three ounces of silver per ton; and contains petroleum, elastic bitumen, barytes, manganese, and fluor spar.
