OCK (The), a river of Berks; rising near Compton-Beauchamp, within 2 miles of the boundary with Wilts; running about 16 miles east-north-eastward, along the White Horse vale; and falling into the Thames at Abingdon. Its waters are famed for remarkably finepike.
