NEWBRIDGE, a romantic spot in the E of Dartmouth, Devon; on the river Dart, 7½ miles N W of Ashburton. A bridge, from which it takes its name, is a picturesque structure, clothed with ivy; and the adjacent parts of the vale are deep ravine, flanked withschistose wooded crags.
