MUNSLOW, a village, a parish, a sub-district, and a hundred, in Salop. The village stands near the river Corve, 7½ miles N E of Craven Arms r. station, and 10 N by E of Ludlow; has a post-office under Church-Stretton, Shropshire; and gave the title of Baron to Lord Keeper Littleton, who was a native. The parish contains the townships of Aston, Broadstone, Millichope, Lower Poston, and Thonglands, the villes of Holloway and Topley, the hamlet of Bachmill, and part of the township of Hungerford. Acres, 3, 504. Real property, £6,034. Pop., 712. Houses, 138. The property is divided among a few. The manor belongs to O.Pemberton, Esq. Millichope Park is achief residence. The living is a rectory, united with the chapelry of Broadstone, in the diocese of Hereford. Value, £763.* Patron, the Rev. T.Powell. The church is ancient; consists of nave, N aisle, chancel, and chantry chapel, with a low tower; contains an ancient font, and several monuments; and was recently in bad condition. A chapel of ease is at Broadstone; and a Wesleyan chapel, in the pointed style, built in 1863, is at Aston. There are a parochial school, and charities £13.—The sub-district contains also five other parishes, and is in Ludlow district. Acres, 15, 193. Pop., 2,051. Houses, 419.
