Post town, Congleton. Pop., 949. Houses, 189. The living is a p. curacy in the diocese of Chester. Value, £127. Patron, the Rector of Astbury. The church is a recent structure, in the early English style; and consists of nave and chancel, with porch and bell-gable. There is a national school.
