In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Snowshill like this:
SNOWSHILL, a parish, with a village, in Winchcomb district, Gloucester; 6 miles SW of Campden r. station. Post town, Broadway. Acres, 2,294. Real property, £1,882. Pop., 235. Houses, 58. The manor belongs to T. Wynniatt, Esq. The living is a p. curacy, annexed to Stanton. The church was rebuilt in 1865.
