HADDLESEY (WEST), a township in Birkin parish, W. R. Yorkshire; near the river Aire and the Selby canal, 4¾ miles SW of Selby. It has a post office under Selby, and a Wesleyan chapel. Acres, 1, 160. Real property, £2, 034. Pop., 213. Houses, 44.
