In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Ludford Parva like this:
LUDFORD-PARVA, a parish, with a village, in Louth district, Lincoln; contiguous on the W to Ludford-Magna, and 5¼ miles E of Market-Rasen r. station. Post town, Ludford, under Market-Rasen. Real property, £1,784. Pop., 462. Houses, 85. The living is a rectory, annexed to the vicarage of Ludford-Magna, in the diocese of Lincoln. The church has disappeared, but the burial-ground is still in use. There is a Wesleyan chapel.
