In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Raddington like this:
RADDINGTON, a parish in Wellington district, Somerset; adjacent to Devon, 4¼ miles W by S of Wiveliscombe, and 7½ W N W of Wellington r. station. Post-town, Wiveliscombe, under Wellington, Somerset. Acres, 1, 505. Real property, £1, 315. Pop., 121. Houses, 20. The property is divided among a few. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Bath and Wells. Value, £180.* Patron, J. Hayne, Esq. The church is early English, and was restored in 1845 and 1852.
