NEWTHORPE, a township in Sherburn parish, W. R. Yorkshire; on the Leeds and Selby railway, midway between Micklefield and Milford-Junction stations, 8 miles E by S of Leeds. Acres, 708. Real property, £433. Pop., 88. Houses, 16. The manor belongs to Lord Ashtown.
