In 1887, John Bartholomew's Gazetteer of the British Isles described Eddrachillis like this:
Eddrachillis, coast par., W. Sutherland, 135,555 ac., pop. 1525; the surface is very rugged, and is devoted chiefly to sheep-walks and deer-forest; Eddrachillis Bay, from Badcall (where the par. church is situated) to Drumbag, is studded with islets.
Eddrachillis is now part of HIGHLAND Council. Click here for graphs and data of how HIGHLAND has changed over two centuries. For statistics about Eddrachillis itself, go to Statistics.
