In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Kiveton Park like this:
KIVETON-PARK, a railway station in W. R. Yorkshire; on the Manchester, Sheffield, and Lincolnshire railway, near the boundary with Derbyshire, 10*hr. miles ESE of Sheffield.
