Shawbost or Sheabost, a village in the Carloway portion of Loch parish, Lewis, Ross-shire, near the NW coast, 5¾ miles NE of Carloway. Pop. (1861) 312, (1871) 376, (1881) 322.Ord. Sur., sh. 105, 1858.
