In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Goring Heath like this:
GORING-HEATH, a village in Goring parish, Oxford; 4 miles from Goring r. station, and 6¼ from Reading. It has a post office under Reading. The land around it was formerly uninhabited common, but is now well cultivated.
Goring Heath is now part of SOUTH OXFORDSHIRE District. Click here for graphs and data of how SOUTH OXFORDSHIRE has changed over two centuries. For statistics about Goring Heath itself, go to Statistics.
