In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Bachymbyd like this:
BACHYMBYD, a township in Llanynys parish, Denbigh; 3 miles NNW of Ruthin. Here is a seat of Lord Bagot, formerly a seat of the Salisburys; and on the grounds is a grove of unusually large chestnut trees.
Bachymbyd is now part of DENBIGHSHIRE District. Click here for graphs and data of how DENBIGHSHIRE has changed over two centuries. For statistics about Bachymbyd itself, go to Statistics.
