SCOFTON, a chapelry in Worksop parish, Notts; on the river Ryton and the Chesterfield canal, 2¾ miles E by N of Worksop r. station. Post-town, Worksop. The living is a p. curacy in the diocese of Lincoln. Value, £ £150.* Patron, G. S. Foljambe, Esq. The church is modern.
