In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Ledwyche like this:
LEDWYCHE, a rivulet in the S of Salop; rising under Titterstone Clee, and running about 10 miles southeastward to the Teme, 3 miles above Tenbury.
