In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Devoran like this:
DEVORAN, a small seaport on the Restronguet creek, 5 miles S by W of Truro, in Cornwall. It has a head post office, ‡ designated Devoran, Cornwall; is connected, by railroad, with the mining district of Redruth; and presents a prosperous appearance. See Feock (St.).
Devoran is now part of CORNWALL Unitary Authority. Click here for graphs and data of how CORNWALL has changed over two centuries. For statistics about Devoran itself, go to Statistics.
