In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Owen Glyndwr like this:
OWEN-GLYNDWR, a demesne in Corwen parish, Merioneth; in the vale of the river Dee or Glyndyvyr-dwy, 10 miles N E of Bala. The site of Owen Glen-dower's house is here, at Sychnant; and is marked by some trees.
