In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Nottington like this:
NOTTINGTON, a village in Broadway and Buckland-Ripers parishes, Dorset; near the river Wey, 2½ miles N by W of Weymouth. It has a sulphurous spa, with pump-room and baths. Nottington House is the seat of Col. Steward.
Nottington is now part of DORSET Unitary Authority. Click here for graphs and data of how DORSET has changed over two centuries. For statistics about Nottington itself, go to Statistics.
