In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Henwood like this:
HEANWOOD, a place in Solihull parish, Warwick; near Solihull. A Benedictine nunnery was founded here, in the time of Henry II., by Ketelbern de Langdon; and was given, at the dissolution, to John Higford.
Henwood is now part of SOLIHULL District. Click here for graphs and data of how SOLIHULL has changed over two centuries. For statistics about Henwood itself, go to Statistics.
