In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Dulas like this:
DULAS, a hamlet in Llanwellwyfo parish, Anglesey; on the estuary of the river Dulas, 4½ miles SSE of Amlwch. It is inhabited by miners and fishermen; and has a small, shallow, dangerous harbour. The rocky islet or reef of Ynys-Gadarn, lies off the estuary, 2¼ miles NE of the hamlet; and has a beacon, 4½ feet high.
Dulas is now part of ISLE OF ANGLESEY District. Click here for graphs and data of how ISLE OF ANGLESEY has changed over two centuries. For statistics about Dulas itself, go to Statistics.
