In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Knightsford Bridge like this:
KNIGHTSFORD-BRIDGE, a place in Knightwick parish, Worcester; on the river Teme, at the boundary with Hereford, 5½ miles E of Bromyard. It has a postoffice under Worcester, and a good inn.
