HOLME-EDEN, a chapelry in Wetheral and Hayton parishes, Cumberland; on the river Eden, near Wetheral r. station, and 5 miles W of Carlisle. It was constituted in 1845; and its post town is Wetheral, under Carlisle. Pop., 1, 107. Houses, 233. Pop. of the Wetheral portion, 866. Houses, 175. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Carlisle. Value, £117.* Patron, P. Dixon, Esq.
