CWMDARE, a hamlet in Aberdare parish, Glamorgan; on the rivers Dâr and Cynon, 5 miles SW of Merthyr-Tydvil. Pop., 2, 404. The stream of a waterfall here, on Hirwain common, emits inflammable gas.
