In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Bloomsbury like this:
BLOOMSBURY, a suburb of Birmingham; in the NE of the borough. It has a station, jointly with Nechells, on the Birmingham and Derby railway.
Bloomsbury is now part of BIRMINGHAM District. Click here for graphs and data of how BIRMINGHAM has changed over two centuries. For statistics about Bloomsbury itself, go to Statistics.
