In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Beechwood like this:
BEECHWOOD, a village 4¼. miles WSW of Coventry, in Warwick; near a tunnel of its own name, 480 feet long, on the Northwestern railway.
