Bunratty, par. and vil., near river Shannon, SE. co. Clare, 5 miles SE. of Newmarket-on-Fergus, 2747 ac. (including islands), pop. 421; P.O. Has ruins of a castle. Bunratty Castle, seat, is in the vicinity.
