STAPELEY, a township in Wybunbury parish, Cheshire; 1½ mile SE of Nantwich. Acres, 1,198. Real property, £3,344. Pop. in 1851, 462; in 1861, 578. Houses, 131. S. House is the seat of the Hon. J. Sugden.
