NEWTON-BEWLEY, a township in Billingham parish, Durham; 5¼ miles N N E of Stockton-upon-Tees. Acres, 1, 562. Real property, £1, 652. Pop., 134. Houses, 23. A seat, and an entrenched court-house of the Prior of Durham, were here.
