SULHAMPSTEAD-ABBOTS, a parish in Bradfield district, Berks; 2 miles S by E of Theale r. station, and 5¾ SW of Reading. Post town, Sulhampstead-Bannister, under Reading. Acres, with S.-B., 2,951. Real property, £2,525. Pop., 357. Houses, 76. S. House is the seat of M. G. Thoyts, Esq. The living is a rectory united with Sulhampstead-B., in the diocese of Oxford. Value, £668. Patron, Queen's College, Oxford. The church is good; and there are a Wesleyan chapel, and charities £25.
