MORETON-CUM-ALCUMLOW, a township in Astbury parish, Cheshire; near the Macclesfield canal, 2½ miles SS W of Congleton. Acres, 1,100. Real property, £1,879. Pop., 119. Houses, 21. Moreton Hall here is a timbered house of the time of Elizabeth.
