MIDDLETOWN, a township in Alberbury parish, Montgomery; on the Shrewsbury and Welshpool railway, under Breidden Hill, adjacent to Salop, 5½ miles NE of Welshpool. It has a station on the railway. Acres, 736. Pop. in 1851,102; in 1861,216. Houses, 37.
