BRIGHTWELL, a parish in Woodbridge district, Suffolk; 3 miles S by E of Bealings r. station, and 5½ E by S of Ipswich. Post Town, Bucklesham, under Ipswich. Acres, 965. Real property, £834. Pop., 81. Houses, 14. The property is divided among a few. The living is a vicarage united with the p. curacy of Kesgrave, in the diocese of Norwich. Value, £112. Patron, Sir J. Shaw, Bart. The church is good.
