CRETINGHAM, a parish in Plomesgate district, Suffolk; on the river Deben, 4¼ miles WSW of Framlingham r. station. It has a post office under Wickham-Market. Acres, 1, 638. Real property, £3, 077. Pop., 343. Houses, 47. The property is divided among a few. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Norwich. Value, £173.* Patron, the Lord Chancellor. The church is good; and there are charities £51.
