Notes

According to the Victoria County History, the modern hundred of Aylesbury originally consisted of the three medieval hundreds of Aylesbury, Risborough, and Stone. Anderson (The Hundred Names of the South-Eastern Counties, 1939, p.7) says they were first described collectively as the 'Three Hundreds of Aylesbury' in 1233, but according to Glasscock they are listed separately in the 1334 Lay Subsidy.
